Moving on...

So pretty soon

this won't be my morning view 

I guess it's appropriate that as summer ends, our time living at the lake is ending, as well

I guess subconsciously we might have waited this long to buy a house because we knew that the sooner we bought the sooner we'd have to say goodbye to views like this

So in two short weeks we will bid adieu to our little pink house

Good thing its only 20 minutes away from our new place

We've have loved our afternoon walks and boatrides

Living on the lake is really peaceful and beautiful - we've made lots of fun memories in just

 4 short months

I can't wait to reveal our new place 

I'm waiting to share it with y'all till it's officially ours

It's cute

It has lots of closet space 

and 

more than one bathroom

WOOOOOOHOOOOOO!

Y'all have no idea how excited I am about this!

So, I'm a happy girl

In the meantime, I'm busy picking new carpet for the bedrooms

I brought home about 8 samples the other day, and T response was

"We don't need all these samples!  They all look the same!!!"

At least I know now my husband has a very detailed eye and he will probably be happy with whatever I pick out

I went shopping this past weekend for a new kitchen table, but all I came home with were these 

antique planters

which were a steal

and 

i looooove them

and this witchy woman

Very excited about our new move

and my new closet

Not Fancy, Just Famous 4th!

 Hey friends!

We went to the beach, went to the lake, went to Savannah, moved, and came back to the lake...

We headed to Destin for the 4th with four of our best friends!!!  It was wonderful!!!

Our 4th of July beach trip began with lunch here

Dobbs BBQ

is a must if you're riding through Dothan!

The coleslaw is too die for - and its served with a sliced pickle on top - yum

And if you're lucky, Mr. Dobbs will come by and show you a magic trick!

 We headed to the grocery store upon arrival

We stocked the fridge with plenty of fluids!

Grocery shopping is haaard work!

Really hard!

For dinner we headed Elmo's - a place that serves all you can eat crab legs

My brother and his girlfriend were in Destin, too - so glad they got to come to dinner with us!

My brother ate 4 buckets of crab legs - and he has 0% body fat

The next night we headed out to the Red Bar in Grayton Beach, which is seriously one of my favorite restaurants!  Sadly, I forgot my camera, which may have been a good thing since it was more of a party than a dinner!

After dinner we headed to Bud & Alleys - I seriously want to live in Seaside!

The night of the 4th we decided to grill out

We sent the boys to the grocery store again for supplies - do you like our style (putting the men to work?!?)  They came back with hamburgers, chicken, french fries, potato salad, regular salad, corn on the cob, apple pie and ice cream - obviously, we didn't go hungry!

It was so nice to sit outside and watch the sunset!

T was relaxed :)

I enjoyed some reading time before we started to grill out.

Nothing beats Harry Potter and a Blue Moon!!!

Such a fun time!

We enjoyed such a fun and relaxing time with some wonderful friends - we could not have asked for a better 4th! 

We got back Tuesday and left for Savannah Wednesday to move!

I was so thankful my parents came down to help us because it was a JOB!

We are also thankful that our house sold, especially in the market!  We will miss our little house though! It was a great first home!

Lake Sweet Lake

WE MADE IT

to the lake

and we are loving it so far!

We finally got internet today - and I'm so happy!

I've been having withdrawals - its not been pretty!

This was our first morning here

I woke up early, unusual for me

 because I love sleep

right, Mother?!?

 

We had coffee on the dock

and we even had our first visitors!

People really love to fish down here!

These were my bedroom slippers...

all I could find at the moment

I'm sure the fishermen were impressed..

That night we went to dinner at the lake

so good

Poor self-timer cut T's head off

and that night, we had an amazing view

T had been hunting earlier in the day

He is literally in hog heaven

I'm slowly catching up on all your posts - its amazing how much you miss in 5 days!

Hoooneymoon: Part Trois

So, tomorrow night will be lake residents

I keep saying it, but we are so excited

Tomorrow night we are going to an Easter play that features T's best friend, who will be playing Jesus

These are the type of things that we are excited to move back to, and be able to attend

It may be a little while before we have internet access, so I wanted to tide y'all over with 

Part 3 of our honeymoon - our final day in Paris!

One of the most spectacular things we visited was 

The Louvre 

you could spend daaaayyyyyssss in the Louvre

it was awesome, but just a tad overwhelming 

After all that we needed a cocktail,

so we had one in our hotel bar

I know that bloody marys are supposed to be a brunch drink, but I love them anytime

and I love extra lime juice

Then we went to our last dinner in Paris

it was great

wine

lobster

cheese

chocolate

what more could you ask for?

before we knew it, it was time to board our plane to sorrento!
