this time last year...

I'm still alive
I've missed blogland
but
we've been
house hunting...
traveling...
celebrating...
working...
and just livin' life

So, lots has been going on, but I had to share where I was this time last year...
Italy!

Swoon, why couldn't we go back for our 1 year anniversary???

I never finished my honeymoon blog post, so how fitting that my last one is now:)

You can check out the earlier post
and

The only phrases T heard more than "I love you" and "I'm so happy" were "Hold on, let me take a picture!"
So forgive all of my posts - I know there are a lot!

A beautiful church in Sorrento!
There are sooo many beautiful churches in Italy

Another one a few steps away
(And I thought Southerners were religious!!!)

I wish we had more fruit stands in America
these are just fabulous!

Looking down!
Beautiful!

Fresh catch!

The "beach" at our hotel

Enjoying
happy
hour

Ahhh
I'm soooo ready to go back!

Lovin' Life

How cool are these boats
I want

So, this is crazy
See this guy with T?!
Well, he came up and sat next to us on the beach - He settled in by himself, and I noticed he was wearing a Georgia Tech baseball hat.  I went to the University of Georgia, and Tech is our archrival, so of course, I had to talk to him.  How often do you see someone halfway around the world with a Georgia hat on?!  So we started talking - He was stationed in Naples, and had decided to head to the beach on his day off.  He and his wife live in Atlanta, and she was flying in a few days later to visit him.  So we kept chatting, and playing the name game....and turns out....he is the 1st cousin of my roommate from college!

Too crazy
the world is small, people!
So here is the obligatory pic

Our last night in Sorrento
Dinner overlooking the ocean at our hotel
Swoon

Can you tell I was a happy girl?!?

Hope you enjoyed our honeymoon series :)
We had a wonderful anniversary at Lake Blackshear
It's not France or Italy, but it was still wonderful!

Hope everyone is doing great!
Lots more news to follow!
(And no, its not baby news :)

xx.

Viva Italia

Hello blog friends!
I feel like it's been crazy since we moved - I'm ready to get back into my blogging groove

So to bounce back
here is the third or fourth part (can't remember - see I'm really in a haze) of our honeymoon!
We stayed at the Hotel Bellevue Syrene in Sorrento, which has some serious history:

Syrene, a luxury charm hotel in Sorrento,  goes back to ancient times. The Roman remains and the wonderful grottoes dating back to the 2nd century BC, reveal the love the emperors had for this magical place set between wonderful greenery and azure sea.
The current villa of Sorrento’s  5-star hotel  rises, in fact, on the foundations of a much bigger Roman villa where Emperor Augustus was exiled for political reasons.
It was the Earls Mastrobuono who began the construction of the current villa in 1750 for their summer vacations, and it was only in 1820 that a cosy hotel of about 30 spacious and comfortable rooms was created, within an oasis of peace and outstanding natural beauty.

See what I mean?!?

Getting there was a long day!
but
totally worth it

champagne and grapes

and
an amazing view

we popped open some champagne
fed each other some grapes
and relaxed

after that
we headed to the "beach"

our hotel was at the top of a cliff, so there were many stairs
there was an elevator, but we were ready to stretch our legs

me sans makeup

The next day we work up to an amazing breakfast
The hotel had a machine where you put in a whole orange in the top and it made fresh squeezed OJ
heaven

T, of course, was dying to catch the score of the Auburn game!
they won - Happy Honeymoon to him!

this was the breakfast terrace, which was closed due to rain
sad day

This is one of the rooms
isn't it gorg - look at that ceiling!
about to head out to explore

well, that's all for now
We are headed home for Mother's Day and my bro's graduation!
Tres excited!
HAPPY WEEKEND!
Much Love!

Hoooneymoon: Part Trois

So, tomorrow night will be lake residents
I keep saying it, but we are so excited
Tomorrow night we are going to an Easter play that features T's best friend, who will be playing Jesus
These are the type of things that we are excited to move back to, and be able to attend

It may be a little while before we have internet access, so I wanted to tide y'all over with
Part 3 of our honeymoon - our final day in Paris!

One of the most spectacular things we visited was
The Louvre

you could spend daaaayyyyyssss in the Louvre

it was awesome, but just a tad overwhelming

After all that we needed a cocktail,
so we had one in our hotel bar
I know that bloody marys are supposed to be a brunch drink, but I love them anytime
and I love extra lime juice

Then we went to our last dinner in Paris
it was great
wine
lobster
cheese
chocolate

what more could you ask for?

typical honeymoon ring shot

and a late night photo shoot at the fountain outside our hotel

before we knew it, it was time to board our plane to sorrento!

here is a tiny sneak peak of italy

Can't wait to give you an update on our move!!!
Again, thanks for all your sweet comments - I love my blog friends!
