Camping Indoors

That's what I feel like we've been doing for the past week
We are moving soon
Does anyone need a second home in Savannah?

So our house in complete chaos...
Stuff to take
Stuff to go
Stuff to store
Stuff to give away

How do we have so much stuff?

Not to mention clothes?
I wear the same thing all the time
I need to broaden my horizens

this is half of one closet

(Don't fret though, I have three trash bags full of clothes to take to Goodwill tomorrow)

In the kitchen, its even worse
We've been attempting to eat the food we have
so I haven't been to the grocery store in two weeks

which is why our refrigerator looks like this

pickles, gatorade, skinny girl margaritas, hot sauce, salad, eggs

Poor T has been living off sandwiches and scotch

We've had every type of sandwich invented this week
Tonights specialties were tuna and tomato

All of our glasses are packed, too
hence why I'm drinking my wine out of a solo cup
We are classy, folks

I'm not complaining because this will be our view
which is worth living out of a suitcase and eating off paper plates for a year

Much Love!

PS.  I got my Easter dress today - and it was only $30 !!!
I know what you're thinking, but I promise its pretty
Can't wait to show it to y'all!
Happy (almost) Easter!

Packing up a house is the pits! Your red solo cup takes me back to college days! :)
Good luck with the move!

Oh my! The outside of your home is so beautiful! Sorry you're living out of boxes and eating off paper plates, hehe. But it's going to be worth it! That view really is amazing. Post pictures of your Easter dress!!!

I've only moved a few times in my life, but doesn't it make you purge all of the unnecessary items you own? You are still so positive and upbeat even though I know it's stressful. I can't wait to see your Easter dress. I still buy an Easter dress, too.

I would buy your house in a heartbeat if the darn Marine Corps would move us to Savannah - it is adorable!

Moving stinks, that's for sure...but it is an adventure, and you guys will be so happy in your new home. Looking forward to the updates!

Gracious, I know the feeling. We are in a temporary condo while we close on a home and when we packed up our old 2200 sq. ft. apartment to move to this one (which is, I think, around 700-800 sq. ft.) we did major downsizing. And I too, drank wine from a Solo cup until deciding ENOUGH IS ENOUGH and I went and bought a vintage purple juice glass for $3 that I now use. :)

Every time we move, we purge - and we still have SO MUCH STUFF! Where does it come from? I just brought 3 bags to the Salvation Army and yet we still have stuff.

Katie, it looks like y'all are making great progress! The "T is living off sandwiches and scotch" comment made me laugh out loud. I am so sad we won't get to meet up this week in Savannah, however it looks like you have plenty on your plate already. Good luck with everything this weekend! Can't wait to see your cute Easter dress!

So funny...love the "classy" solo barware, so elegant! It is exciting to be moving and though I know its a lot of work and soooo tiring..there is something so magical about new beginnings and starting anew, right? And that view...whoa...thats amazingly beautiful. Seriously..it would be hard to peel my eyes away from it.....stunning!! I am sure your Easter dress is gorgeous...can't wait to see it! Thanks so much for stopping by and for your kind comments.

ug, packing is the worst. it feels like it will never end. we did it ourselves once and then never again. if only you lived here we would of had you over for dinner tonight and given you a break from your sandwiches...rosemary & garlic lamp chops, roasted asparagus and an arugula salad -- alfresco...I'd even help you pack a few boxes too! :)

xo, Tessa

Good luck with your move! We have a small second place in Savannah on Perry St (Historic District). I have to say, the view at your new place is absolutely gorgeous. Is it in the Lowcountry as well?
