Must Read

My mother-in-law gave me the book, The Glass Castle, before we left on our trip to TN this weekend
I had no idea what it was about, but I needed something to do since I was going to be stuck in the car for 7 hours

It's a GREAT book!
It's a memoir written by Jeannette Walls - you will laugh, cry and cringe as she talks about her life growing up with her parents and four siblings - it is fascinating!
If your haven't read it yet, pick up a copy at the library or your local bookstore!

Happy Reading!
xx.
PS.  Lots more about our trip to Center Hill Lake in TN later
PSS. I have officially become a river rat

I loved that book too! Have you read the Memory Keeper's Daughter? I read it after the Glass Castle and loved it too. Just finished Firefly Lane and absolutely loved it- thanks for the recommendation, send any others my way!

I loved The Glass Castle too. I barely got up from the couch when I was reading it. I haven't read her second book yet.

Ok so I've had this book in my collection for maybe 2 years now? And have yet to read it! I bought it b/c I had heard it was good but have been reluctant to read it because I wasn't sure if I was in the mood for it... will add it to my list for summer though thanks for the inspiration! xo Also reading Goodnight Nobody by Jennifer Weiner.. chick lit but a great summer read so far I would recommend! Also Little Earthquakes by her is great too! Found both at my library!

If you loved that, then read her next one (Half Broke Horses). It is just as much of a page turner. I read it while on maternity leave, if that gives you an idea - you can't put it down regardless of what you have going on!

I loved that book - what a crazy life. Did you read Running With Scissors? Another book about a really weird childhood.

This has been on my book list for awhile :) Hopefully I'll read it before 2012!
