Spring Fever

You know what
is NOT fun
being sick during spring.

Strep has come to our house...

So this is what our coffee table looks like...
It's the center of the war zone

I want to be here
enjoying the beautiful spring creations and 80 degree weather

Instead, I've been in front of this...
I've watched every episode of
One Born Every Minute
and
Who Do You Think You Are?

One Born Every Minute is like a Baby Story, but much more intense
It should come with the following disclaimer:
If you've never had a child and know nothing about childbirth,
DO NOT
watch this show or you may never want to procreate!!!

Good Grief...
It has scared me death.  T ran out of the room halfway through the first episode
while spewing a string of expletives

On a brighter note,
Who Do You Think You Are is a GREAT show!
Its about celebrities who research their heritage with the help of genealogists.
Have y'all seen either one?

Anyway,
I'm on the mend
Thank goodness for modern medicine, my thoughtful husband, OnDemand, and popsicles...

OMG- I watched 'One Born Every Minute' this weekend too! Did you see the one lady who's 'birth plan' was not to take meds? Yikes! My husband got realllll nervous when he saw the show on. Haha :)

I'm sick too, seems like it hits us every March. Doesn't help my hubby is off in sunny TX at some mtg (aka golf chalked up as business). not sure what "one born every minute is", but i can tell you I never moaned, screamed, or acted like a lunatic with either delivery so there is hope!! :) feel better!

Tessa

I watch Who Do You Think You Are every week! I love that show, so happy I can see it on the internet. Did you see the Brook Shields one last season? That's my favorite!
I've passed on a little award to you on my blog if you'd like to come on by and pick it up... xo

I think I would definitely pass on the baby birthing show...and I've been through it two times...but somehow re-living it through someone else's experience definitely doesn't appeal to me, either!!! I'm with you, T!!! (c:

I have watched the other one though, the Tim McGraw episode, and it is SO AWESOME! I am totally in awe of how they track down all that info and all the ridiculously cool stuff they find out about themselves...I guess if you have to be sick, you at least need good entertainment! Here's to a super speedy recovery and enjoying SPRINGTIME!!!

I love One Born Every Minute but you are so right... it's pretty scary! The dad's in it are the best- like the one who dropped the camera on the baby!

Hope you start feeling better soon!

Girlfriend, I feel your pain. I've been sick since last week. My coffee table is covered in tissues and meds too. I wish you a speedy recovery! : )

Found you from Sara in Le Petit Village. After I had my first son all I could do was watch a Baby Story so I could commiserate with those women during their childbirth. Thank God I didn't watch it before I had the baby or I would have never wanted to give birth. BTW, I love Savannah. I've only visited briefly a couple times on my way to Hilton Head, but I think it is such a charming town. Oh and Claritin D works best for me when allergies hit.
