Party

...should be our middle name...

We had a great weekend
Filled with good food, family, and love.

Friday night we were supposed to have a low country boil with my parents, but we ended up going to

The Blue Willow Inn

It a restaurant that is pretty famous around Georgia
It features southern cooking

and its a buffet
so you can do some serious damage

I'm talking
cheese grits (my personal favorite)
fried chicken
fried catfish
prime rib
mac and cheese
greens
blackeyed peas
fried green tomatoes
corn
seafood au gratin
deviled crab
boiled shrimp
green beans
squash
cornbread
rolls

Thats only a small portion
and don't get me started on the desserts...

Good Grief...
Its delish

Its also a beautiful setting

My first Homecoming dance we ate at the Blue Willow
We took our group photo in front of that fountain...
Thank Goodness I'm not force to show you a picture
My hairdo was pretty rough - can you say tendrils?!?

The next morning was birthday party
Round 2
I was a very lazy aunt and played and visited more than I took pictures
T said RM look like Sonic the Hedgehog opening her gifts - she couldn't open her presents fast enough!

How cute is her new play house?
Her Dad built this from the ground up
Love those little windows!
The door is being custom made!

The birthday girl!

Mom made these for a baby shower
so we snacked on these when we got home
as if the birthday cake we ate earlier wasn't enough...
These cookies are maybe the cutest things I've ever seen!

So our weekend was wonderful
It's great to see both families in one weekend, especially since we live so far away
We also ate a ton of wonderful food
cupcakes (twice), cookies and fried foods galore
SOOOO
that means
we are on a
D I E T!
Ughhhhhh....

The Blue Willow is awesome! I love when we sneak off there for some fried green tomatoes. It is the perfect place for spring and summer! The balloons are adorable! And that playhouse! What a precious gift. Glad you enjoyed your weekend! Hugs!

Sounds like it was a great weekend! Loved the kitty ballons and darling cookies your mom made. I'm putting myself on a diet this week too after the weekend! Doesn't it seem that you spend the work week making up for your bad weekend, only to do it all again come Friday?!

Love the Blue Willow! That's some yummy southern food!!! Their cookbook is pretty good, you should check it out if you don't already have it.
